For a Friend

This was very quick to make. It was made for a friend who lost a relative shortly after giving birth. A terrible loss and shock.

The Recipe (all items SU):

Paper: Kraft, Sahara Sand and Whisper White
Ink: Bravo Burgundy, Mellow Moss, and Sahara Sand
Stamps: Petal Prints, Close as a Memory
Other: Taupe Grosgrain ribbon, Color Spritzer tool

The image was stamped off second and third times to get the lighter images. The rest, I think is pretty basic and easy to figure out. The edges were sponged. Spritzing was used on the white as the background.

Have a great Tuesday and thanks for looking,

Mini Pocket Tag Book

I love creating books...especially since I got my BInd it All. I would create them before I had it as well, but now it is soooo much more fun! This book has a pocket for each of the tags shown below. Above, the cover, has chipboard details. The base is solid black chipboard. The scroll is a Spellbinder die, one of the scallops is a cuttle bug die and the other is the SU scallop punch. The center flower is from the Boho Blossoms punch and One of A Kind SU Stamp set. Paper is Petals and Paisley DS paper also from SU.Bling is from dollar store.

This book was so fun to make..now to figure out who to give it to..hmmm.

Blissful Pocket Card

Made this card about 2 weeks ago, but wanted to upload something creative today. I have been struggling with getting my camera to take decent pictures of my creations, so I got out the manual and I can already see a difference. The first image is taken before I read the manual, the second is after. I definitely see an improvment, especially with the color and the text readability.
Recipe:

Stamps: Friendship Blooms, One of a Kind
Ink: Purely Pomegranite
Paper: Berry Bliss DS paper, Purely Pomegranite, Pretty in Pink
Other: SU Round Tab Punch, Boho Blossom punch, Nestabilities - oval and oval scallop,Pretty in Pink Grosgrain, Piercing tool, Dollar store Bling and Dimensionals.

I just love this paper, it is soooooooo perfect! I will definitley have to stock up on this one.

Thanks,

What do you think of my Blog?

Hi,

I don't know if anyone has visited this blog

I would appreciate any comments left. If not for the encouragement, simply for the knowledge someone other than myself has visited this page. They should invent counters that do not count the person who created the site. Maybe they do have that and I just don't know where to find it.

Anyways, if you have visited this blog, I would appreciate any comments left.

Thanks,

BABY on BOARD....

Sorry for the play on words but could not resist.
This is another book I did recently as a class that went over so well I had to run the class a second time and I am still getting orders for it. We offered it originally in Blue/Green combo for Boys and Pink/Purple combo for Girls, but then someone asked for one that could go either for a boy or a girl and this is what I came up with. I think this is my favorite of them all actually.
Here is another view...

And one more...this page if done right will hold a 4 x 6 picture without cropping!
and here they are in blue and pink...

What do you think ... Should I make these to sell locally? I have been told I should but would like more input before deciding.

Thanks,

Father's Day Project

Thought it would be nice to create a great project for the dad's in our lives. This word book gives plenty of places for pictures and journalling.

I chose a vintage feel and deep colors for this project to keep it masculine looking. It is bound together with my Bind-It-All.I taugh this as a class this past week and everyone really seemed to enjoy it. I hope you like it.
Recipe:
Paper: Creamy Caramel, Cranberry Crisp and So Saffron. DS paper is SU Sentimental Journey (unfortunately discontinued and not replaced with another vintage style paper). Wish I would have ordered more of this paper bofore it was discontinued, but I thought they might have a new vintage style paper. This is also single sided paper, which I like when I am glueing it down, so i don't feel like I am wasting a side. Maybe Stampin Up will come out with matching single sided papers for all the Double sided papers thay have. Does anyone else think this would be a good idea?
Ink: Creamy Caramel, Cranberry Crisp and Chocolate Chip
Stamps: Headline Numbers, Ephemera, Stamp of Authenticity, Open for Trade, Letters from friends, Travel Post, Thoughts of Father, Genuine Article, Best Blossoms, One of a Kind, All Year Cheer ll, and Circle of friendship...wow now that's a list of stamps... and one stamp from Heather's Stamping Haven. It was used on the postcard to give the place for the address.
Other: Bind it All, Various SU punches and other punches, Watercolor crayons, Grosgrain ribbon, Brads, dollar store paper clip, Pop ups, edge distresser. sponging.

Here is a couple of images from the interior of the book...
