I was able to get a group picture of all the wonderful tags from the swap.

Image Tags Swap

Stephanie hosts a image tag swap over at With a Grin. I was able to participate in her most recent one. I am just now getting around to posting the tags I made for the swap. The idea is to stamp two sets of ten tags each.

This is the first set I made. I really wasn't thinking clearly at all because this swap was for October and I really should have made mine with a Halloween theme...but oh well.

I added a smaller tag to each with another image stamped on it. Both images are Stampers Anonymous stamps....otherwise know as Tim Holtz stamps

Here is the second set of ten. Now I am not completely sure how her swap works but I thought I would get one back of each of my tags along with nine others for each group but I only got one of mine back and lots of other wonderful tags. Which is cool for me because then I get lots of fun tags.

The stamps for this tags were from Tim Holtz and 7Gypsies.

Tag for Arlene's May Swap

I was looking through my blog and realized I never posted the pictures of my May tag for Arlene's Tag swap. She did a swap for June but now she is no longer doing it. I will miss it, I had fun doing them. I was going to break from it for the summer because of kids all being home, but now it is over for good.

The theme was the beach and the challenge was to make it super dimensional. The tag is die cut from the baroque die by Tim Holtz, and glimmer misted and accented with some shells using perfect pearls.

I included a pull out mini tag on the front.

The tag is stamped and embossed on both sides.

I glued on some real shells for the super dimensional fell and look.

I added texture to the background, added a layer of Glimmer misted cheesecloth to like like a fishing net. I wrapped some hemp twine around the tag. Added a charm on a fishing lure clasp. I strip of Matha Stewart lace trim with pearls.

I received my tags from the swap yesterday and posted this video. I forgot to add mine to the group for the video as I had to keep mine so it was not in the box when it arrived.

April Tag Swap Tutorial

Here is the tag I made for Arlene's April tag swap. The theme was flowers/roses and the challenge was to use fabric.
I had such fun making this once the inspiration came. I am usually early with my swap but I am a bit behind this month.

You can watch me make this tag from beginning to end on Ustream on Friday April 16th Atlantic Standard time. ( GMT - 4 hours) . My channel name is NsSnowAngel.

Typically I would tell you about the making of this tag here is the post, but I will be recording the show so if you do miss it but want to know how it is made, you can catch it later.

I hope the tag was worth the wait. I will ship them on Saturday after the show. I may send them rush since I am behind. I also am shipping them in a box this time because last month my flowers got a bit crushed.

March Tag Swap #2

Here are the other tags from the second swap I signed up for. This one for The Scrap Beach. Anyone can sign up. So, if this sound like fun, sign up yourself.

I used several Tim Holtz distress ink for the background. Then Glimmer misted the whole thing with Iridescent Gold. I stamped a sentiment stamp in Stazon Black. I clear embossed several butterflies with clear embossing powder with some glitter added. I added a gem flourish. Some layered Prima flowers with a gem brad center. They were also glimmer misted. I die cut a butterfly out of the Mariposa paper., sponged the edges and added a gems to the center for it's body. It is only adhered underneath the center so the wings are lifted up. I them stamped "everything" on white and punched out with my designer label punch.

I distressed the edges and the whole sentiment before attaching to the tag. I then added a couple small feathers behind the flowers and of course the fibers.

I had fun making these. I hope the recipients enjoy them as well.

Swap Tag for March #1

I signed up for two tags swaps this month. One on the Scrapbeach and one with Arlene. This one is for Arlene's. The theme was Asian. You could also use the color green and spring in your tag. I think I got all three!

This flower was white and from our local dollar store. I glimmer misted it and then sponged with black on the edges.

I added a word charm and an Asian coin charm to the fibers with a garment pin.

I stamped a sentiment on a piece of velum and tore the edges. I used glue dots to adhere the sentiment, which is not flat on the tag. I then hid my adhesive with two small die cut blossoms.

The background is a glimmer misted piece of paper that was then crumpled and heat dried. I adhered to some lightweight chipboard. I heat embossed some leaves with gold embossing powder. I stamped a branch with blossoms in stazon black and added more die cut blossoms. The black strip and loop on the top are glossy black cardstock. I distressed the edge with a distress tool and black ink. On the back is my personal info.

The final touch was some matching fibers on the top.

February swap Mini has Arrived!

I received my February swap mini fro Amy today.
I had to wait for my son to go nap to do the video, that was torture....well not really but I so wanted to open it right away.
I hope you enjoy the video, the mini is soooo pretty. Amy says it is not Marion worthy.Now for those of you who don't know- Marion is a papercrafter who does the most amazing minis. You can heck out her work on YouTube under apieceofcraftdotcom. Anyway, when Amy asked what I liked for a mini, I told her I like Marion's style. So she made me a mini that is definitley Marion worthy. I love everything about it.

Hi Everyone,
Sorry for not being regular with my posts lately.

I received my first swap mini. It came all the way from the United Kingdom. Thank you Amanda, it is beautiful. I received it a bit ago and did the video the next day, but I have been so busy with classes and family that it has taken me a while to get some posts online. Hope you enjoy the video.



I hope you enjoyed the video. I have learned that seeing the pictures or video is never as nice as it is in person. So if you think it is pretty here, know it is even prettier in person.

February Swap Mini

January Swap Mini for Amanda!

I signed up to do my first mini album swap over at Life on the Scrap Beach and was paired up with Amanda in the UK. I asked her what colors she liked and pinks and purples was her answer, so I went through my paper stash and decided on this one, it is Raspberry Tart from Stampin Up and is retired. I wish I would have stocked up on this one cause now the ladies want to do it for a class and I don't have any more of this paper. If any of you have a pack you are willing to sell, let me know!

I made a rose on the cover using Tim Holtz's technique. He shares how to make these on his blog and there is also a YouTube video how to make them, I think Marion from A Piece of Craft does it. I also attempted to make some homemade Glimmer Mist for the leaves.

I made this page an accordion album page. You undo the ribbon closure and then open out the accordion part.

This is my favorite page, it is so very feminine and flirty. It is simply an acetate pocket with three tags, but love how it turned out.

And here is one more of the pages. The album has a total of 6 double sided pages. Below you can view the video of the entire album. It was great fun to make. Now to ship it. Shipping is expensive to the UK but that is okay, this was fun to do. I may even sign up to do another!
