Pretty New Flowers

I was playing with my flowers dies and some new materials. This flower is made from the tissue like paper that is in sewing pattern package.

They are super fast and fun to make. I made all the ones you see in this post in just a few minutes.

I added some I Am Roses bloom to the centers of a few.

I really like the look with the flower centers.

This one is my favorite because I like natural colors the best.

Hope you enjoyed this idea..

Thanks,

Paisley Petals Policy Envie Mini- Class Version

Here is the class version of the long policy envelope mini. This class will be held in September.

The layout is almost exactly the same as the previous mini, but I used Stampin Up's Paisley Petals Designer paper.

I love this paper, bright, bold designs in Paisley prints.

This is one of my favorite pages. Hope to see you in class in the fall!

Thanks,

Inside of Policy Envie Mini

OKay, I finally finished the inside of this policy envie mini. I am pleased with how it turned out.

I used some die cuts to embellish the pages, here I used Hardware Findings by TH and a sizzix clock. The clock face is a fussy cut from some TH designer paper.

Oh I just love this Th die. . . the only prob was finding a way to add the clock hands. Hmmmm

...ended up using a die cut acetate circle, worked great! There is a tag that pulls out from behind the clock face .

I love this page too....love the layered locket used here on the tag.It also acts as a small pocket for a small shipping tag. The faux belly band is actually faux snake skin. I learned the badn technique from Paper Phenomenon, but the texture added to it was my idea....

another fun page. I die cut a sizzix heart. This is a die I altered. Yes! I altered the die. I removed some of the center swilrs that were part of the die cut shape. I did not like them. I them texture embossed the heart and added it to a folded shipping tag, so that there is a hidden pocket behind the heart. It is held in place by the dangling key from some more faux skin strapping.

This page was inspired by a page I seen in a mini a friend made. I wasn't sure I would like this huge chandelier die cut, but it is pretty awesome.

Here I die cut a flourish and then embossed with a texture folder. I then used it to create a pocket. Some mini tickets are clipped to the tag using a tiny clip from Stampin Up.

I used TH mini rossettes die to create the flowers for the next two pages. They are super fun to make and go together quite quickly.

This last page uses some film strip from TH to create a band to hold in the tag. Accented by a couple of skeleton leaves.

Here are the tags from inside the envies. I used various black die cuts to accent them.

and this is the back. I simply stamped various journal spots on the back of each.

Vicki's Class Mini

Hi Ladies,
Here are pics of the beautiful mini class I took hosted by Vicki. It has a canvas cover and chipboard pages.
There are lots of die cuts and hidden pockets.

This is the first page. I adhered all the matt die cuts so a tag can be inserted behind each to add a jounal spot.

I love her paper choice. It is called Cottage Wall. It is no longer available, but I think I still have a couple of packs that I stocked up on of this paper.

I just love the layouts on each page. Simple yet lightly embellished. Sometimes I go overboard, which is easy to do with so many options for embellishments.

This next set of pages has a fun pull out photo matt/ journal spot.

This opens up to reveal more space to add photos.

I am a huge locket and key fan, so this is probably my favorite page in the mini.

The last double page layout. I love the small banner she has used in the mini. I thought it was a nestie, but after searching, I am not so sure. I will have to ask her.

and the last page. I love the mini birdcage and bird accent. I have this die but have not used it yet.

You can see the video for this mini below.

Thanks,

Month by Month

Some youth from my church wanted to make custom Months Labels for their activities calendar, so they came to me to make them. They even did all the work.
They turned out wonderful.

Each month was personalized for that month.
January - die cuts, border punch, bling
February - die cuts, embossing folder, border punch

They used various die cuts and other embellishments to decorate each month's label.
March - Die cuts, punch border, feathers, nest
April die cuts, bling

It took three trips to my scraproom to finish them all.
May - flowers, die cuts, bling, border punch
June - die cuts, bling, stamens, embossing folder

They seemed to really enjoy it.

July - die cuts, straw hat, ribbon, stickles

August - die cuts, embossing folder, nesties

It was nice to be able to let them do this and have enough stuff that they could just come and play.

September - die cuts, stamps

October, die cuts, border punch, glimmer mist

I hope they enjoyed being here and crafting as much as I did.

November - die cuts, embossing folders

December - die cuts border punch

Thanks ladies, hope to see you again,
