Paper Pumpkins-Totally Cased

After seeing these made in a post on the Graphics 45 Blog, I just had to try one of my own. Well, one turned into four. They are so quick and easy and look so adorable.

You can check out the post here

there is a video tutorial for several halloween pumpkins. I have started the book one and hope to finish it today.

My neice came over the next day and wanted to make one as well, so fun.

hope you enjoyed this post and maybe give these a try...you can vary the size but changing the length of the paper. I used 5",6", 7"

Thanks,

Contest Entry

Hi Scrappers,

Here are a few pics of my contest entry. I used this project for two contests, One with I AM Roses, in which they are choosing the winner based on most "likes" I am currently in second place, so if you want to help me win , please check out the video here and clcik the LIKE button please and thank you!

I also used it for an Accucut Halloween contest entry. The box is an Accucut die called Box-Gable (3D). It is a great little box. It is about the size of my hand, so not too little.

I was able to use Tim Holtz's mini cabinet card die to make the mini for inside this box.

Here are a couple of the pages. They are small so not able to do too much with them, and needed to fit the mini back into the box.

This is a fun set of pages, the moon is actually a tag that pulls out.

Thanks,

Halloween Treat Holders

I created these fun treat holders for Halloween. These will be a class in late September. All are a good size to hold several traditional Halloween sized treats or other appropriate goodies.

There is a Cracker Box, A French Fry Box and a Stampin Up Fancy Favor Box.

I have also made a tutorial for how to make your own Cracker Box. It will be posted in September so keep a watch out for it. It is super easy and you don't need a die to do it.

Thanks,

P3 Challenge Time!

It is Paper Cubed challenge time again. The challenge this month is to use acetate in your project. I made a treat holder. The base is made from a sizzix die called envelope, pocket. I then used a circle Nestability to make a window. To cover the window I used acetate that has been embossed with a web embossing folder. I then cut a matt for the window from some Stampin Up designer paper called Wickedly Fun Specialty. I wrapped a piece of Purely Pomegranate Satin ribbon around the flap before sealing the sides with adhesive. I die cut a spider and made a matted label for the pocket.

I then made a tag to attach to the top of the pocket. I used more Purely Pomegranate ribbon and tied it with a small piece of striped grosgrain in pumpkin pie. Both stamps are from Stampin Up.

You can check out the other Design Team projects or add your own here. You have a whole month to create something.

Thanks,

Some Creative Ideas

I did not have a picture of my Halloween Ephemera Bingo cards to show you when I made the post for them the other day. I finally got some printed off and even better than that I altered them so you can see how fun they are to work with. Above I stamped in clear embossing power a skull. Then Glimmer misted the card with Raven.I rubbed the excess off of the skull then used a dauber to mark several numbers on the card. The word letters were then covered with crackle accents, which somewhat turned black from the Glimmer mist. Of course the edges were sponged with black.

I used an embossing folder on this one to added the cracked effect. I then embossed and die cut two bats and adhered them to the card. I added some bling for the bat's eyes. The final touch was some sponging to add that aged look.

My third and final sample for the day is also embossed using a spider web. I used stickles in black for the letters and the spiders web line. The spider is embossed and die cut from the same folder used to make the bats. I added some stickles to the body of the spider. I then added a gem flourish to the lower corner. and sponged the edges and a bit over the raised part of the embossed web.
I have added another set as well, the new words are SKULL, BONES, TREAT and GHOUL

You can get my Halloween Bingo Card here.
I hope you enjoyed these fun ideas.

Thanks,

World Card Making Day Challenges

Here are my creations for the challenges posted on Splitcoast stampers. I combined several in each item, if I could.
My daughter likes this one the best...her favorite color is pink.

This is my favorite as I love natural colors.

I never give out Halloween cards but here is one I made anyways. Hmmm, wonder who I could give this one to?

This was the ornament I created for the Magnolia-licious challenge. It was fun to make but hard to get a good picture of.

Thanks, I hope you enjoyed my creations,

Halloween Fun

This card was made using a spinner technique. The two bats that are together on top of the large circle both will move back and forth around a part of the circle.

And here is a mini treat holder using the same technique I used in my Sunflower Kitchen Organizer tutorial with the die cut from Baskets and Blooms die for the basket. It is so simple and quick.

Thanks,

Witchy Treat box....Just Look!

Oh stampers, just look at this. Isn't this the best witch box ever? I wish I could take credit for it, but a fellow crofter's daughter has made this. You can see all the details in this post on her blog.

I was thinking of trying a witch but now I don't need to, you can use this example, as I could never create one as fabulous as this. WOW!

If you love this, go over and give some love and tell her how adorable it is.

Thanks,

Totally Batty!

Here is the next of the character boxes. Isn't he just adorable? I love how he turned out.

To make his wings I cut a copy paper Top Note die cut and then drew the following lines as shown in the image above.

Cut the first section off, as it is not needed.

Then score the three remaining lines and accordion fold them. This is your wing template.

I cut 3/4 of the large oval punch for the ears.

Here are the items you will need to make this cute bat box. Two Top Note die cuts from a gray card stock, and then a box made as shown in the Frankie tutorial. Two wings made as shown above, a nose and eyes as also shown in the Frankie tutorial, a mouth template made from half a curly label punch and teeth as shown in Dracula's tutorial.

Attach nose to center of face.

Then attach eyes as shown in Frankie tutorial.

Create Batty's mouth as in the Dracula tutorial.

Attach ears as shown above.

Then attach wings behind the ears. Add wire as in the Frankie tutorial and Batty is finished!

This is the same box, but the lighting in the room I took the picture must have been different as now the box looks slightly purple. Hmmmmm.

and from the back.

Thanks for looking. Hope you are enjoying these boxes. I am enjoying them but anxious to move on to new ideas. I will complete the two remaining requests, but then I am finished with the boxes.
Thanks,
