Special Request

My neighbor asked me to make this special guest book for her daughter's baby shower. She wanted pastel colors - blue, pink, green and yellow, a place for Guests from the shower, places for pictures, a place where guests could write parental Advise, a place where visitors to the hospital could be written and a place to record gifts received, otherwise the creation was up to me. She has previously ordered a BABY word book and was pleased with the results. I was a bit nervous but she was very happy with the results. Above is the cover.
Here is just inside the cover, the first place for a picture and some journaling.
and here is the place for guests from the shower. Oh, she only wanted the book 6 pages long. The covers are covered chipboard, but the pages are just cardstock.
Another place for a picture and more journaling.
Here is the page to record gifts received. I also included a place to mark down if a thank you was sent.
and here is the place for hospital visitors to sign. I have not shown the page for the advice since my neighbor immediately wrote her advice down before I took pictures of the book, but it is the same as the other pages except for the title. There was also a couple of pages with just lines for additional writings. I sponged the outside edges of the book. and it is bound with the Bind it All tool. I was unable to print out the lines from my computer cause my printer is not working great, so I used my Stamp-ma-Jig alot to get the lines just right.

well thanks again,

Short Notice

Woke up this morning and my DD12 asked me to make her a birthday card for her friend. I was in the middle of feeding the baby and said I couldn't at that moment, so she proceeded to choose some colors and cut the paper to the sizes she wanted. She CB the Pale Plum piece of paper, then continued to get ready for school and I took over making the card. Now, DD is a great card maker herself, but because this was last minute I agreed to help. The inside says " May every Part of your Birthday have Happy in it". This card is the result. Not bad for a rush job!

The recipe:

Paper: Perfect Plum, Pale Plum and Whisper White
Ink: Perfect Plum
Stamps: Girlfriends and Big Flowers, and Full of Life
Other: SU markers ( Pale Plum, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant), Flower Punch, Piercing Tool kit, dollar store bling and sponging

Thanks for looking and may your day also be full of happiness,

Pocket Purse with Brag Book

This was so fun. Sandee74 gives a great tutorial for the mini nugget purse. After making that, I played with the measurements and came up with the bigger purse. It is a bit different, closure and some trim and of course size. Then I made...
an adorable little brag boook that fits in the purse. The pages all fold out for added space to include pictures of children or pets or whatever.
Here are some of the pages...

The recipe:

Paper: Berry Bliss, Purely Pomegranite, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Whisper white and Close to Cocoa.
Ink: Chocoltae Chip, Purely Pomegranite(sponging), and Signo White gel pen for stitching
Stamps: Lots of Thoughts
Other: Pewter Jumbo brads, Chipboard,Assorted punches, Dimensionals, Paper Piercing tool kit and Bind it All

Thanks, for looking and have a great day, I have another project I completed yesterday and hope to post today if all goes well...it was a special request from my hairdresser,

By The Sea

I love the ocean and love stamp sets that remind me of the ocean. This is a sneak peak at a future class, it is a beach theme book. I can only show you the cover for now, I will post the rest of the images after my class takes place in mid July.

Thanks for looking and have a great Tuesday,

Mini Love Notes

This mini book is just about 3 inches by 2 and a half inches. It has several layers, with the last being on dimensionals. A charm was easily attached during the binding process, but could be added later. The pages inside are regular index cards cut in half and each page has a small stamped image in the lower right corner.

P.S. keep checking, I will be posting images of my newest class...a nautical book. I have been working at it all weekend and all day today and it is finally finished. It turned out really nice if I must say so myself.

Easy Peasy Ice Cream Card

Saw a few of these adorable, easy cards around on Splitcoast and some Blogs (sorry not sure which ones) and thought I would try making a couple myself since I just got my Tart & Tangy stamp set yesterday. They are so cute.
Here is how I did the inside (above) and a couple of close ups of the fruit on the front. as you can see I added some crystal effects and then some Dazzling Diamonds to add a touch of sparkle.

What a time I had to find a popcycle stick, I know I have a whole container somewhere, but I could not find them... then i remebered I have some rub ons and they use a pop cycle type stick...ahhh ha! That's what i used, but I will exchange them for wooden ones when I find them.

Thanks for looking,
