Here is my submission for Paper Cubed'sDecember challenge. The challenge was to create some type of organizer for the holidays. This is what I came up with. I will post a video of it tomorrow.
Here is the inside. There are tabbed divided sections, and pockets for assorted items. The inside section is removable so when it is used up you can replace it and still use the cover.
How is this for organized? (sorry for the picture color quality- not sure what happened, but it is the same item in all the pictures) This handy little storage unit has a section with dividers that can hold recipes, coupons or whatever works for you. Then there is a removable pocket book with sections that you can take with you when you head to the grocery store.
I am so excited at how it turned out. The holder fits nicely onto your counter in your kitchen. You can keep you recipes for the week in it and plan your grocery shopping from it, and or you can keep coupons in and when you go shopping place the ones you need in the pocket book to take to the store with you. As you see in the first picture, the pocket book also fits into the counter holder. I think I am going to be adding one or two more items to this class. An altered notepad and possibly a pen for a grocery list or to do list that will also fit in the carrier. How convenient will that all be for shopping?
Here is the carrier closed. It had an elastic closure that keeps everything all secure and tidy.
Here is the inside of the coupon carrier. It has three sections for your convenience. The note pad could easily be kept in one of the sections. Coupons in another and money or to do list in the other. Don't you just love being organized?
I have another class ready too....it is even more exciting than this one. I will give a sneak peak tomorrow. This one will be a class available online as well. I have all the pictures ready to go, just need to get them into a PDF file.
Do you remember this planner? This was my Christmas planner as you can see here. I was asked to make one in spiring colors and this was the result. I love custom orders! The request was for green and orange....and I had DS paper that worked.
Here is the front. It is put together the same way my Christmas planner was but this one can be used for whatever, anytime of the year.
Here is the first inside section with two pull out meno pads.
And here is the next two sections with one more pull out meno pad and a envelope for receipts or coupons or whatever else you can think of.
Here is another addition to my craft fair items for this coming Saturday. Inside the pages are daily notes/to do lists and at the back is a address book. These can be used for any day as you write the date in at the top of the page so they never expire like a typical calendar. The first is pink...
The second is red...
and the third is green...
I used Bella Rose and Ski Slope DS papers and Pocket Silhouettes stamps. They are in clear plastic covers.
Thanks for looking....Oh I can't believe almost no one is interested in my Blog Candy...I should hit 10, 000 hits today and have had only three comments for the blog candy....I am giving away a free stamp set.
I have seen some planners made with file folders..but had not had a chance to attempt one of my own...until now. I am not sure who is the original person who came up with the idea to alter a file folder into a planner, but if you know who and let me know I will edit this post to include appropriate credit. Here is what I came up with. I used a legal sized folder but perhaps a regular sized one would work as well, since I cut a portion off one end.
This is what it looks like all closed up. There is SU silver elastic cording keeping it closed. I added a binding so it is more like a book. Here is a peek at the inside. I am offering this as a class as well...but I will be using the current DS Christmas paper instead of Dashing DS paper shown here. I may also use a current stamp set to increase sales. the rest of the inside... Above is the envelope I made for keeping tract of receipts. Below is the wish list...cause we all like an idea of what to get people we love and having a place to mark ideas down is perfect! Thanks again for looking,
