Happy Blog-A-Versary!

It is my blogaversary, well actually yesterday was, but I was away all day.

Last year just before my first year in blogsville, I hit 25,000 hits. I set a goal of 300,000 for this year. I did not reach it, but I am far from disappointed as I did reach over 185,000. That is amazing!
Thank you all so much for making my blog as successful as it is. I know I am not the most regular poster, but I do try to have a nice variety of items, from card to minis to 3D items, free tutorials and tutorials for sale. I try to keep my posts about papercrafting. I appreciate every comment that has been left, I know it takes extra time to leave a comment, but I read every one and they always put a smile on my face. I am also grateful cause I know someone took the time to leave it.
I have expanded my ways to share this passion with all of you through YouTube and recently through Ustream. My Channel for both is NsSnowAngel. I do not always post my videos from Youtube here, so if you like seeing my work you may also wish to check out my channel there. I do occasionally put up videos there that are not papercrafting related. My Ustream show started out as occasional shows but I now have a regular time on Monday Evening 9 pm eastern standard time.
Anyways, getting on to the good stuff...
Last year I gave a blog candy away of free tutorials for a year. That winner received over 18 free tutorials. I hope you enjoyed them Chrissy!

This year I am going to give a way a surprise gift to someone. I will add things to this list all week. At the end of the week, on next Monday evening I will draw a winner from anyone who leaves a comment here until then.

Card for my Dad

This is the card I made for my Dad's birthday, but this could easily also be used for a Father's Day card.

I used soft suede for the card base and the textured layer is kraft. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the texture. I used sponging to distresses the edges and then also used a distress tools to further distress all edges.The textured layer is on dimensionals. I wrapped some twine around the layer and knotted it adding a metal key embellishment before attaching to the card base. I added a circle paper clip and then added a layered sentiment. I added a glimmer chip owl and as a final touch I added some glossy accents to the owl's eyes and beak.

I hope you enjoyed this card. It went together quite quickly.

It has been a while since I made a card, at least i t feel like quite a while.

Another Page

Here is another of the pages I am helping my daughter with. This one is all about family...can you believe that this is still not everyone? She needs one more picture of one more person for it to be complete.

Of course we had to add a journal spot, so it was perfect to add a hidden one since there is already so much going on, on the page.

She has her parents, step parents, siblings, step siblings and her half siblings - oh my and some siblings' boyfriends. Is it me or has life gotten very complicated? Just listen to all those family references.

Oh well, bigger is better, and she has got one big family!

Another Page for my Daughter

Another page done for my girl. This one is of her and her BFF.

I used a mask to add the clock image in the lower left corner and then added some die cut clock hands that move thanks to a brad center.

Of course you need a place to journal so added a pull out folder behind the photo so she can write whatever she want there.

Just had to add this sentiment, because no one regrets time spent with a friend! The flowers are handmade using my flower technique.

As with the other page, I did lots of distressing with a distress tool and inked all the edges. She loves it!
