Month by Month

Some youth from my church wanted to make custom Months Labels for their activities calendar, so they came to me to make them. They even did all the work.
They turned out wonderful.

Each month was personalized for that month.
January - die cuts, border punch, bling
February - die cuts, embossing folder, border punch

They used various die cuts and other embellishments to decorate each month's label.
March - Die cuts, punch border, feathers, nest
April die cuts, bling

It took three trips to my scraproom to finish them all.
May - flowers, die cuts, bling, border punch
June - die cuts, bling, stamens, embossing folder

They seemed to really enjoy it.

July - die cuts, straw hat, ribbon, stickles

August - die cuts, embossing folder, nesties

It was nice to be able to let them do this and have enough stuff that they could just come and play.

September - die cuts, stamps

October, die cuts, border punch, glimmer mist

I hope they enjoyed being here and crafting as much as I did.

November - die cuts, embossing folders

December - die cuts border punch

Thanks ladies, hope to see you again,

New Craft Room

I am finally sharing pictures of my new craft room. It has been down stairs in my basement for some time but I was hoping to do a video and have just not got it done, however I do have pics.

Here is a picture of the top of one of my storage shelves. I got these jars from the dollar store. they came in two sizes...perfect. I have an assortment of embellishments stored here. Below is where my stamps are stored, same as they were when my room was upstairs. The second unit like this one store my Designer paper and 12 x 12 cardstock and is right next to this shelf. I did not get a picture of it.

This is a photo display I picked up at a local hardware store. I am storing/displaying tags I received in various swaps....love it!

This is a build in wall unit that used to store the entertainment equipment but now stores my craft stuff. Dies, embellies Tim stamps and glimmer mist, embossing powders and on the top Finished projects.

This is a mirror my daughter bought me that I added a rub on from Stampin Up to.

Just below if I have several projects on display.

To the left there is a shelf that used to store books but now stores embellishments and my ribbon. I designed the supports for the ribbon so that it is not permanent and can simply be removed should I change rooms again...lol.

Another shelf is to the right, I have my flowers and other necessities here near my desk.

Two filing cabinets hold my 8 1/2 x 11 paper and on top sits my BigShot and a basket with my Nesties.

Several plastic drawers sit on the wall unit and hold my punches.

Just above that are more containers holding various embellies.

To the left is where I used to store my DVD's but now the shelves hold my Sizzix and other dies. Love this. It also holds my embossing folders.

I love my new room. In the center is a folding table so I could have classes...if I could just find the time....lol.

Thanks,

Organizing Tip - Eyelets

I got this great deal on eyelets by WE R Memory Keepers from Jules over at http://www.thejulebox.com/ Look at the adorable tags she adds to each package!

I ordered several sets of colors. Each package comes with four colors. She lets you order up to three packages of each set of colors. I like to keep all my same colors together so here is what I decided to do to organize them. I Put each color in a separate small container. Them the packaging has this great insert that has a built in label for each of the colors.

I used my SU circle punch to punch out each of the labels.

The name is already printed along with a sample of the color.

I add the matching color label to each container of the matching color eyelets.

Then I transferred them to small zip lock baggies

And finally put them all in one large storage container so they are all together, easy to find, easy to choose a color and easy to see when I need to reorder and because I have the labels I know what the color is called.

Hope you enjoyed this tip,
Thanks,
