Special Orders!

At the craft show I was in this past weekend, I was asked to make a couple personalized journals. One was to be mostly blues with a hint of red and the other pinks and purples. They are for two small children.

Elastic silver cording is wound around each of the beginnings letters for their names. A gem is glued to the top of each letter "i" and a gem brad at the end of each name for decorative accents. All of which is on dimensionals.
The letters are covered with card stock, versa mark, heat and stick and then finally dazzling Diamonds.

I used Prima flowers and tiny beads for the flower border on each book cover. Assorted fibers were used to trim the binding which was done using my Bind It All. I am so glad I have this tool. It makes projects have such a nice finished look.

The inside is divided into four sections each. The section dividers are card stock and the pages are basic lined paper.

On each divider there is also a place to write some special notes or whatever.

Do you think they will love them? I hope so, I know I had fun making them.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

More Craft Show Stuff!

I had a few of these DVD tins left from last year and thought I would do up a couple of them for the craft show...so here is how they turned out.

I embossed swirls in silver on each tin.

Here is the inside of each tin. Each has a note pad, that I had to trim slightly on the bottom edge to get to fit in the tins. Each has a RSVP pen with matching DS paper inside.

Here is another angle for the cover...

and here are close ups of each of the flowers, the red one has stickles to add some glitter, and the blue one has some silver glitter.

Here is a close up of the loop holder for the RSVP pen. I used elastic cord laced through two eyelets and knotted in the back.

and here is a picture of the card insert for the envelope. If giving as a gift you could write a personal note here.

Don't forget to that there is Blog Candy here! Giving away a free stamp set to a lucky person on Monday!

Thanks for looking,

More Craft Show Items

Here is another addition to my craft fair items for this coming Saturday. Inside the pages are daily notes/to do lists and at the back is a address book. These can be used for any day as you write the date in at the top of the page so they never expire like a typical calendar.

The first is pink...

The second is red...
and the third is green...

I used Bella Rose and Ski Slope DS papers and Pocket Silhouettes stamps. They are in clear plastic covers.

Thanks for looking....Oh I can't believe almost no one is interested in my Blog Candy...I should hit 10, 000 hits today and have had only three comments for the blog candy....I am giving away a free stamp set.

Annual Cardmaking

Every fall for the past several years...can't remember exactly how many, my cousins and sister and I get together to make Christmas cards. Here are some of this years results....

This one has a gem in the center of the biggest snowflake...isn't it adorable!

This one really stands out with the addition of the fluffy red fiber and red scallop circle.

This one was cased from the card I made for swap. It is not an exact copy, but close.

and one more, this was actually done in two color combos. Night of Navy and bashful blue...and Riding Hood Red with Kiwi Kiss. Both looked great!

Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out the post for Blog Candy!

Ribbon Card

Playing with ribbon and my Big Shot and the Top Note die. I love all the great new dies that Stampin Up has available.

Here is the front view. This card has lots of dimension and some bling! The Top Note die is cut out of cardboard and DS paper and then mounted on dimensionals. I the curly label punch works great as well with the Top Note die.
thanks,

Project Fund Raiser

A Friend of mine who coaches several local Cheer leading groups saw my word books and said it would be nice to do one for Cheer leading, and I suggested she could sell them to raise money for cheer leading. Parents could buy them as keepsakes for their children involved in Cheer leading. It will give the cheer leaders a keepsake and also provide funding for the teams. She liked the idea and here is the book I came up with. It will only be available through my friend and only for those involved in cheer leading. It is ready for pictures and journaling.

Here is one of the inside pages to give you a bit of an idea what the inside is like. The letters on the cover are the school initials...which, yes I need to change one because it is lower case...oops..already have it to replace but the book is with my friend, she will be getting the replacement tomorrow before she shows it to anyone. It is hard to tell but the third color is Night of Navy.

Thanks for looking,

Sneak Peek!

I could not wait until after the swap to show off my card...I am just so pleased at how it turned out. I get nervous for swaps because I feel like my card has to be perfect for it. Well, this card is not perfect...as I was making it, I noticed things that I would change if making again...like the bling gem I would put on the upper snowflake instead of down by the ribbon, because it almost got covered by the ribbon. as you can see below...

I included a verse inside, which I often do not do, simply because I do not have a wide variety of inside verses. It is also stamped on the back with an Angel policy stamp and my web address. That I always do!

I was completely inspired by Beate's card shown here. The colors are very similar, although I used Basic black for my Top Note die cut. I felt black worked well for a Santa card. I got the Santa Collage stamp after searching and searching off of E-Bay. I love this stamp!

This card looks so much better in person. Santa is stamped on Glossy white. I ran out of the wide Old Olive grosgrain so used the narrow for the knotted piece...I think it works! I pierced each of the scallops on the Riding Hood Red piece. Hmmm, I think that explains the little details I did to this card. I also stamped a reindeer from Winter Post on the flap and on the lower left corner of each envelope. I was going to put a snowflake, but when I saw the reindeer, I knew that was a much better choice for the Santa card.
Thanks for looking,

Easy and Quick!

This was a gift bag with card I made for a friend's birthday. The mini envelope is attached to the outside front of the bag and the 3 x3 card simply goes inside. The envelope flap is stamped with an image so it looks cute when sealed and the white space below is perfect for writing the recipients name. The bag is tied shut with raffia.

Thanks,

Club Card

I am part of a group that meets monthly to share ideas and learn new ones. We each take a turn for the year being the "hostess" and receiving the Hostess benefits. It is sooo much fun. Well, I have been helping with ideas for the class projects and this was one we did for October. I had so much fun doing this card.
the final card had a small piece of DS paper from Urban Garden in matching green alont the bottom white area., but I don't have a picture of that. We used a mask to create the moon image and Stazon ink for the sihouette image. The whole card is done on Glossy white so the ink blends well.
Thanks,

Craft Show Table Display

Well here is what my table looked like for my first craft show this past weekend. When I called to book a table it was advertised as a Flea Market, Craft , Bake Sale with Canteen, but when I got there the sign by the road said Flee Market. It was a beautiful fall day...perfect for attendance..or so one would think. It was not overly busy maybe 100 people all day. Very few visited our table, but overall we had a good day. Tables were not expensive, but there were some who attended who did not even cover table rental and we did way better than that.
Next time I will be sure to sign up for "a Craft Show". When I was getting ready for this show I was worried I would not have enough to fill the table, but I had plenty.

The card display holders I got from a local hardware store worked great for showing my cards and card candy. I know next time I need to take something to work at while I sit there.

Thanks,
