Card for my Dad

This is the card I made for my Dad's birthday, but this could easily also be used for a Father's Day card.

I used soft suede for the card base and the textured layer is kraft. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the texture. I used sponging to distresses the edges and then also used a distress tools to further distress all edges. The textured layer is on dimensionals. I wrapped some twine around the layer and knotted it adding a metal key embellishment before attaching to the card base. I added a circle paper clip and then added a layered sentiment. I added a glimmer chip owl and as a final touch I added some glossy accents to the owl's eyes and beak.
I hope you enjoyed this card. It went together quite quickly.
It has been a while since I made a card, at least i t feel like quite a while.
Thanks,

This adorable, love the technics you used and the colour is my favorite (earthy). Your dad will love it, and the fact you class him as a Wise OWL, love it.
Missed you last Monday on Ustream, I know you are very busy, with the kids, just wanted to say I miss U, and thankyou for sharing your tech's with me and the girlz on Ustream.
