Christmas Countdown Calendar

I fell in love with this idea when I saw it on Pickled Paper Designs blog. I new I had to make one when I saw it. I have made mine a bit different, I love altering things and making it "My Way". It look so much better IRL. I then made a cute pizza box with a belly band to make it perfect for gift giving. I also have another idea for this technique...but I will be saving that for a surprise for now.

Thanks for looking and have a great Halloween!

Snowman Soup...My Version!

Okay...I know there are lots of versions out there for snowman soup...but here is mine. Similar yet different. I like to have pretty packaging and this is slightly different than last years but close. My angel policy stamp is on the back of the bag label. I will be selling these at the craft show this comming weekend.
Here is a close up of an individual bag. There is a packet of hot chocolate mix, a min zip bag of miniature marshmallows and a mint chocolate stick. It is all in a slightly larger zip bag with a die cut Top Note bag topper.

I came up with this instruction/nutritional facts bag liner for the back of my bag ...thought it was cute and everyone really liked it last year so kept that the same this year.
I used a poem from Splitcoast and added some extra stuff on my own to make it personalized.
Thanks,

Card Tree Display

Okay, here is the card tree display holder I got today from the Hardware store. It was in as a Christmas Gift idea item. It is meant to hold photos but I am using to display cards at the craft show. I think it will work, what do you think?

Cards are a bit heavier than photos but it still holds them well. It was not very expensive either.
Thanks,

Tag Tins for Craft Show!

Tins and Tags! Tags in Tins! Tins full of Tags, that's what these are.
These are another item for the craft show. Do you like the packaging for these? I had one previously made in two different sizes. Today I was able to get 8 more large tins completed.

These tins each have 8 tags in a aluminum tin. The tins are about 2 and 3/4" across.
I put the center part of the tag on the lid so they would not have to be opening the tins over and over again, although that may happen anyway. Inside the lid is my Angel Policy stamp as on the back of each tag is a to / from stamp except for one set.

There are snowmen, trees and snowflakes. If I have time I will make more, but I still have other items I need to work on. I spent all day on these.
Thanks,

New Word Book Class-MERRY!

I am so excited to be able to share this. I had such fun creating this new word book. The papers are perfect for the Holidays. I can hardly wait to do this class. Sorry...you will have to wait until after the class runs to see the rest of the pages, even though I really want to share then now. I am offering it at a discounted price for the holidays and for those who attend the class...they will get a special bonus as well!
Thanks,

Some Craft Fair Items

As promised, here are some of the items I have been working on for the Craft Show on November 1st. There are Jumbo Paper clip bookmarks, Coil bound notebooks, Christmas File Folder planners, Altered Mini Paint tins, Tags tins in two sizes, Page Protector Tag pouches,

Here is a shopping list notebook. The note paper can be replaced so the person who buys it can keep the holder until it wears out.

Here is the basket I will be using to display the Jumbo Paper clips in.

I may use this to display clips or cards...haven't decided yet. I am alos getting a Photo tree tomorrow that I will use for displaying cards.

Thanks,

Jumbo Paper Clip Packaging

Here is just one of the many Jumbo Paper clip bookmarks I have made for the Craft Show. I was aksed how I package them. I cut the paper slightly wider and it is folder over. On the back is a Handstamped BY stamp that conforms to the Angel Policy and a stamp of my web address, and a Thank You stamped. There is also a slit that one part of the clip slides into.

On the front there is a space, created with dimensionls beneath the Label so the other end of the clips slides under there. Before I inserted the clip I also used a nestability and cute the hole out so the clip "head" stands out a bit more. Not sure this will be always how I package these, guess I will see how they sell. It was fairly simple but I think adds a lot to the products "perceived value". I would appreciate any comments on this.

Thanks so much,

Neat New Gift Card Holder

I am getting excited about the Holidays! Are you?
I usually don't but I have been making some really fun stuff over the past few weeks for my first craft fair. I will posting pictures of some of the items over the next few days. I would appreciate any suggestions or comments as this is new for me. Even price suggestions are appreciated. I kind of have an idea for some items and no idea for others.
I was at my friends house the other day looking at some swap items another fiend had received and saw a cute idea for a standard card envelope...I new I had to try it out and here is my take on it. Since I don't know where the swap item was from I can't give original credit...but thank you whoever you are!
Here is the front. I had fun making this and it is sooooo easy! I always try to do my casing so that it is not exactly like the original. I will explain where I changed things up further on in this post.

Here is a close up of the front so you can see how dimensional it is. I LOVE using dimensionals and sponging. Yes this is sponged on all edges! with chocolate chip of course!
And here is the inside...this is where I changed it up a bit. The original had the flap left outside so you had to lift the flap to get the gift card. I tucked mine inside and then used my new large oval punch to cut a half and oval and then put my card inside.. it works either way. I think then next sized smaller envie would work for this idea as well, but I did not have any right on hand, as the gift card gets lost a bit in the pocket.

Well, hope you enjoyed, I know I had fun making this and it was super quick.
Recipe:
Stamps: Very Merry, Holiday Tag Team and Holidays & Wishes

Paper: Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, and Holiday Treasures DS paper
Other: Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" circle and 1 1/4" circle punches, detail scissors, Old Olive Grosgrain, Dimensionals

As always, thanks for looking and have a great day,

Good News!

I am so excited! When I checked my e-mail today, I had some very exciting news....

Are you ready? I have been chosen to be on the Stampin Up survey Panel. I applied once before and did not make it. I completed my first survey today. I will have to complete surveys for three months and then will receive a goodie box from Stampin Up.

I wonder what will be in the goodie box at the end of three months of survey taking.

Thanks,

Heritage Book final pages!

I am posting the rest of the pages from this project now, since the classes for it are over. Was a great success...ran for two evenings. Thanks to all who participated in the class, you are all so fun to craft with,
Here is the cover again, just so you don't have to look back and forth between two posts to get the whole thing. The book measures 6 x 12 inches. The F is stamped in ink and then covered with a thin layer of Crystal Effects to add gloss and dimension. The bracket is a die cut. I will post recipe for stamp and inks and paper at the end of this post. The tag is up on dimensionals.

Here is the first page, the photo corners and square are also on dimensionals.I think everything else is easy to figure out, if not you could e-mail me for clarification.
Page two has some paper tearing on the top photo corners and then before attaching with dimensionals, a brad is added to each corner. All my paper edges are sponged as I love the effect this adds to a project.
Now here is a super fun page, this is the one people signed up for the class for...lol. This page has a section that opens to reveal some pop up tags. There is piercing along the chocolate chip strip of paper that may not show up here but is there.
Ta Da! here is the page flap opened...isn't this a fun surprise. Well, I like it and so did the classes. I used the word window punch to punch out two sections behind the tag, half an inch apart from each other ...with the middle of the punch right on the fold line. I then scored the upper and lower edges of between the punched areas and did mountain folds are compared to valley folds this makes them pop out. One tag is attached to the bottom half and the other is attached to the top half. Hope that makes sense, cause I don't have a picture of it to show you. If I make another book I will remember to take a picture of the part so you can see and edit this post with the new picture. The biggest trick here though, is to make sure the tags are adhered above the crease and not hiding it completely or the page will not close well. Here are two It does not slide all the way out. The belly band is ONLY adhered to the BACK of the chocolate chip. If you adhere any where else it will not slide right. As well do not put dimensionals anywhere along the length of the slide area on either side, as this will make the slide not work as well. The cut out area on the green for the slide area was done using the word window punch.
Here it is with the slide out so you can see it.
This page is done the exact same way...pictures shown just so you can see the book.

Here is the last page The tag is on a dimensional but attached only on the outside edge so it does not interfere with photo placement.
Hope you enjoyed this project. And now the recipe....all items are Stampin Up unless otherwise stated.

Recipe:

Ink: Really Rust, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip

Give Thanks scrapbook layout!

The leaves are starting to turn beautiful colors and the inspiration has come for this layout. This too will be an upcomming class. There is lots of room for photos and a place to journal. I wish pictures truely captured the image, as this looks much prettier in real life.

Thanks, and have a great Thursday....
